I’m Not Ready For The Redemption of Men vs. When #MeToo Goes Too Far
I think of the two articles, the “I’m Not Ready For The Redemption of Men” by Amber Tamblyn makes a better argument because she talks about why we need to talk about redemption of men when we are in the beginning/middle of the salvation of women. She also says that men like a revolution only when it’s their kind of war. I thought this was very interesting because right now women finally have a voice and can speak upon who wronged her and if we talk about men redemption then that’ll shift the argument back to the men. She does believe in redemption but she thinks it has to be earned and in order to do so, they must loose their power. She says that their platform and power is what made them able to do what they did and to be punished then that platform should be taken away.
