Learning Outcome 1: Recursive Process

In this first essay I think it shows how I went through revision comparing the first draft to the second draft. My fist draft was mostly just my rough thoughts and first thoughts towards the main concept of the essay. I also picked out my rough quotes and sort of put them in the essay. To revise that I eventually connected some quotes to other quotes to relate the topics more. Then I tried to structure the essay more and add more details to each paragraph. I also consider the order of the paragraphs and what sounds better. Overall, I reread my essay many times and try to go over it as much as possible until it sounds perfect and flows well.

Learning Outcome 2: Integrating Ideas

When first making my ideas I just jot them all down and try to organizes them a little bit. Then I try to link my ideas to my quotes to then try to analyze my ideas and bring it all together.

Learning Outcome 5+6: MLA Citations and Local Revisions

With MLA citations I always tried to include the authors name and page number in parentheses. I also make sure to use quotation marks for the quotes properly. For example in this essay when I quoted Appiah and Gladwell and I made sure to have their citations after their quotes.

Some of the local revisions that I made was when I finished my first draft fully and I went back and made revisions. I changed words around to make my sentences clearer. I also would make grammatical changes or spelling changes as well.
